Never Forget 9/11

Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville Beaches was founded in 1946.

The Kiwanis Club of the Jacksonville Beaches is involved in a variety of community service projects and conducts fund-raising to support our activities.

Fletcher Scholarship Breakfast

The Sixth Annual Parent-Student Breakfast held on March 12, 2010 was a huge success! With 48 students and more than 30 parents, Kiwanis showed their appreciation for the great Fletcher Sr. High family. We also awarded three $1000 scholarships to Marisa Curry, Breana Cedillo, and our Ish Brant Scholar was Paige Autry. A big thank you to our volunteers: Butch Shadwell, Bev Shadwell, Lal Ramdeen, Carl Krouch, Charlie Bender, Doris Barnes, John Bates, Bill Montgomery, Walt Pfeil, Bill MacLeod, and Radha Weeder. Thank you to Rev. Peyton Hopkins for his inspiring talk and to Community Presbyterian Church for the use of the room and kitchen. Thanks to Mike Fogg and the great staff at Fletcher H.S. for helping us have another successful scholarship breakfast.

Dane Gilbert, Fletcher High School Principal; Rev. Peyton Hopkins, Keynote speaker; Butch Shadwell, project chair, and Club President, Doris Barnes.
