Never Forget 9/11
Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville Beaches was founded in 1946.
The Kiwanis Club of the Jacksonville Beaches is involved in a variety of community service projects and conducts fund-raising to support our activities.
On Monday and Wednesday, Oct. 22 and 24, Corky Borders lead us to deliver 430 dictionaries to third graders at San Pablo Elementary, Neptune Beach Elementary, Atlantic Beach Elementary and Mayport Elementary.
"We actually went to the class rooms and handed out the books. The kids were so appreciative they clapped, sang, and had made posters for us. We had fun talking to the kids and having them look up words like Jaguars. Helping give out the books were: Hugh Patterson, Jim Lee (Jim was at San Pablo where he attended elementary school), Erica Godamunne, Bill Montgomery, Jay Ambler, and our new member, Gabriella, and myself."
